Accounted as one of the most famous farms in the world, Ninety Plus has shared its specialty coffee production ideology with producers in Panama since 2007 with strong focus on environmental protection. Ninety Plus participates in the reforestation of 1,000 hectares in Panama. In past years, Ninety Plus coffees has won most high-level coffee championships.
 
Located on the western slopes of the Barú volcano, these are the first and only places in the world where heirloom Ethiopian varieties of coffee are grown under the full forest canopy at this scale. Like massive ecological parks with coffee growing as part of the forest community, these pristine playgrounds include trail networks that connect experiential moments ranging from waterfalls and pre Columbian petroglyphs to giant trees, volcano views, and jaguar bathing pools.
 
The ninety Plus story begins back in 2005 when founder, Joseph Brodsky, travelled to Ethiopia for the first time and decided to make it its home for the coming few years, having fallen in love with the people, the food, the language, the culture and the semi-forested coffee lands in Southwest Ethiopia. During his time there, he created new forms of processing with the local producers, and the very first coffee produced by the hands of Joseph amazed judges in world competitions and created waves of change in the industry. These coffees quickly became the highest-priced in the world. He then brought these methods to a more controlled environment in Volcan, Chiriqui, a province in Panama, site of the last eruptions of the Baru volcano.
 
Today, Ninety Plus is defined by its constant state of evolution, each season advancing its vision for the coffee flavours and farms of the future. Ninety Plus coffees have earned the world’s highest accolades and have been used to win 5 of the past 6 World Brewers Cup Championships and have garnered more 97-point reviews than any other coffee farm in the world.
