Linarco Rodriguez is a prominent and respected figure in his hometown of Palestina, Huila. Born into a family with a long tradition in coffee cultivation, he was immersed in the nuances of coffee production from an early age. However, despite the expectations to follow in his family's footsteps and expand their well-established coffee business, Linarco made a deliberate choice to pursue a degree in business administration, with aspirations of one day relocating to the capital. This ambition, however, was never realised. Throughout his studies, Linarco’s perspective evolved, and he came to recognise that a more prudent course would be to forge his own path in business. Given his profound knowledge of coffee and its production, it became clear that returning to the industry that had shaped his upbringing was the most logical and fulfilling choice.
Today, Linarco works in close partnership with his entire family, attributing much of his success to this collaborative effort. "This is truly a family business," he states with pride. Indeed, the Rodriguez family holds dear the tradition of gathering together in the kitchen at the end of each day to share a cup of coffee, exchange stories, and unwind after their collective labour. For Linarco, this daily ritual is more than a simple custom; it is a source of deep satisfaction, as it allows him to blend his passion for coffee with the warmth and support of his family.
Looking to the future, Linarco remains steadfast in his commitment to advancing the coffee industry. His vision is focused on producing an exceptional product of the highest quality, while also sharing technical expertise with fellow farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. As he continues to grow his business, Linarco is unwavering in his belief that these efforts will not only strengthen his family's legacy but also contribute to the enduring success and sustainability of the coffee industry as a whole.
