The Baragwi FCS stands as Kenya's largest society. Presently, they operate twelve washing stations and boast a membership exceeding 15,000 individuals. By employing uniform processing methods across all their facilities, they achieve the production of exceptionally high-quality products. Each factory is equipped with tiled washing channels, and the transition from wooden to more efficient metal drying tables is underway.
The Muchagara Factory derives its name from one of the villages within Kirinyaga County. Established in 1959, it holds the distinction of being the oldest wet processing center in Kirinyaga. The region's fertile soil makes it an ideal location for agricultural production, thus enhancing the factory's viability. The stunning, snow-capped peaks of Mt. Kenya provide a picturesque backdrop, offering an attractive sight for tourists.
