From the high ridges of Callayuc in Cajamarca rises La Chirimoya, where Yellow Caturra trees are rooted in soils 1,600 MASL. This lot was hand-picked with precision, each cherry chosen for ripeness and integrity. After harvest the fruit was washed to remove every trace of mucilage, then laid to dry beneath the sun for fifteen days upon concrete patios, allowing the seed within to steady and endure.
The steward of this work is Hector Saavedra, a farmer bound to coffee since childhood and now the voice of ten families joined in purpose. Together they labour in pursuit of excellence, raising their harvest not only as a crop but as a covenant of shared survival. Hector has pressed further, shaping their land into places of witness, where travellers may stand among the trees, take part in auctions, and see the toil that lies behind each cup.
Through these acts Hector and his family set forth a vision of permanence, where prosperity is not fleeting but sustained, and where the coffee community is secured against the passing of time. This Yellow Caturra bears the weight of that devotion, a testament offered from their hands to yours.
